1. Who we are

WEREVEN is a personal expense-splitting app developed and operated by Nikita Grigorev. For data-related questions, contact toofpicdk@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — email address and, optionally, a display name you enter.
• Financial data — event names, participant names, expense descriptions, amounts, and payment records that you create inside the app. This data is stored under your account.
• Usage data — activity log entries (who added an expense, who joined an event) recorded within each event to keep all members informed.

We do not collect device identifiers, location data, advertising identifiers, or browsing history.

3. How we use your data

• To operate the app and synchronise your events across devices.
• To display activity history to event members.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Where data is stored

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), hosted in Google Cloud data centres. For more information, see Firebase Privacy and Security.

5. Data retention

Your account data and financial records are retained as long as your account exists. Activity log entries (who did what in an event) are retained for the lifetime of the event to preserve the audit trail for all members.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of your data. Use the "Export my data" button in Settings.
• Right to erasure — delete your account from the Profile screen. This permanently removes your Firebase Auth account and associated email. Financial amounts recorded in shared events are retained to preserve the integrity of other members' records; actor names in the activity log are retained for the same reason.
• Right to data portability — export your data as JSON from Settings at any time.
• Right to rectification — update your display name at any time from the Profile screen.

7. Children

WEREVEN is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
